| MRSA bacteria. |
Superbugs, such as MRSA, are Super Bacteria that have become resistant to today’s antibiotics. MRSA and other deadly Superbugs are therefore becoming more widespread in today’s society. Ten years ago these Superbugs were mainly confined to hospitals. Today, they have evolved into new aggressive strains of bacteria and entered our community. These new community based strains are called CA MRSA for Community Acquired MRSA. It is estimated that one-third of the US population carries MRSA bacteria in their nose, throat and skin.
CA -MRSA is usually spread by skin to skin contact with an infected person. This is becoming more common in the sports world or while using gym equipment. Even students taking a PE class at the local university are a good target for CA-MRSA. Something as simple as a paper cut or handshakes can spread the bacteria. It is now becoming a true epidemic. It was just announced that more people died of MRSA than AIDS a year or so ago. Many new cases have shown that MRSA is attacking younger, healthier individuals..Since many of these systematic infections begin with cuts, minor wounds or skin infections, proper first aid care is taking on greater importance than ever.
Bacrobial kills 99.99% of MRSA virus for up to 4 hours and is a great 1st line of defense.

SYMPTOMS of MRSA: Staph infections, including MRSA, generally start as small red bumps that resemble pimples, boils or spider bites.
Call your doctor if:
· The infection is not better after three or four days
· The infection keeps getting worse
· You develop a fever, or your fever gets worse
People who are ill or have a compromised immune system have a higher risk of getting MRSA. If you have a condition that lowers your immunity, call your doctor right away if you think that you might have an infection.
